FOUR DISTRICTS… FIVE CONTINENTS

The various town districts will be dressed up for the occasion, to create particular scenic effects, in line with the actual nations being represented. The tradesmen of the old town centre will especially be invited to participate and will have the chance to decorate their shop windows and interiors with images and objects pertaining to the continent in question.

A characteristic route will be outlined through the town centre, which envisages visits to museums and archaeological attractions and which links these four quarters to permit the visitors to follow a route that is rich in colours, aromas, attractions and surprises of all kinds.

It will also be possible to visit the International crafts market-exhibition, consisting of a series of open-air stands, with related craft demonstrations, art exhibitions, and it will also be possible to watch cinema projections and other related events, which will take place both in the most characteristic areas and in specifically created areas, with the participation of actors of differing origins, as well as street artists, participating in the “Streetanimation” initiative.

So that during this week each quarter will become the expression of a specific continental culture, which will blend and contrast other expressions, of both typically local and Abruzzo nature, in a kind of inter-continental competition.

Particular attention will be given to aesthetic and scenic aspects of the town, which will be developed by various experts in the field.
